The per-month folders are organized in a YYYY/YYYY-MM structure like this: Optionally further organize, edit photos and their metadata online.Sync and optionally upload all / some photos online to various services.Delete media from iPhone in Preview, delete Desktop/camera folder.Move videos in Desktop/camera to per-month folders under $HOME/Movies (creating folders as needed).Move photos in Desktop/camera to per-month folders under $HOME/Pictures (creating folders as needed).Delete unwanted photos in Desktop/camera.Open Preview, import from iPhone to a Desktop/camera folder.Connect iPhone to Mac via lightning cable and unlock iPhone.Every 3 months or so I offload camera roll photos and videos from my iPhone to my Mac.
